On 31 August 2006, Denílson joined Arsenal for a fee of £3.4 million, wearing the number 15. Denílson was in the starting line-up for all of Arsenal's five competitive matches in August 2008, scoring his first Premier League goal on 30 August 2008 in their 3–0 win at home to Newcastle United. He continued to play as a regular for Arsenal throughout the following month and scored his second Premier League goal in their 3–1 away win at Bolton Wanderers on 20 September 2008.

On September 1, 2006, Gallas transferred to Arsenal as part of a deal that took Ashley Cole to Chelsea and Arsenal also received the sum of £5 million. Gallas signed a four-year contract with Arsenal, where he took the number 10 shirt vacated by the recently-retired Dennis Bergkamp. In August 2008, it was announced that Gallas would remain the club's captain for the 2008-2009 season.

Fabregas joined Arsenal on 11 September 2003. In June 2007, he was named Arsenal's Player of the Season, taking in 60% of the votes. On 11 April 2008, Fàbregas was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year and PFA Young Player of the Year awards for the second year running; he was later crowned the winner of the latter, and named in the PFA Team of the Year.

On 12 July 2007, Sagna completed a move to Arsenal from Auxerre for an undisclosed fee, thought to have been an initial £6.1m that could rise to £7.45m. At the end of the 2007/08 season, he was named in the PFA's Team of the Year. Also, Sagna came fourth in the official arsenal.com player of the season for 2007-2008 season, as voted for by the fans. On June 4, 2008, it was announced that Sagna had signed a new deal with the Gunners following a very successful first season. Arsenal have signed him for a further two years, taking his contract up to 2014.

Bendtner returned to Arsenal after a loan spell at Birmingham City, he signed a new five-year contract in May 2007. Bendtner's first Premier League goal came in a 2–1 Arsenal victory against arch-rivals, Tottenham. Bendtner was called in with 17 minutes left of the game. He scored the winning header with his first touch, immediately after coming off the bench. It holds the record for the fastest goal ever scored by a substitute (1.8 seconds the official time), and was the winner for this game.
